Sex,
drugs and rock and roll are all on the agenda in Keith Fulton and Louis
Pepe’s entertaining Brothers Of The Head, a fictional
documentary about conjoined twins rising to the top as punk rock stars.
Barry and Tom Howe are the conjoined twin attraction of “The Bang
Bang”, a manufactured band who became prominent amongst the excesses
of the seventies.
A series of interviews, excerpts from a fly on the wall documentary
and even a ridiculous feature dramatisation made by Ken Russell recount
the story of the twins and their phenomenon.
The film looks terrific and the superb soundtrack has the raw energy
we seldom see in the punk rock music scene nowadays, if not never.
Weirdly compelling and hugely entertaining, this film is a work of genius.
