Pegged to be one of the next big stars in comedy and
having enjoyed him last year (ooh err!) Russell Howard is a man who
prefers Jaffa Cakes to drugs and has maybe a slight obsession with pudding.
At this year’s Fringe Wandering showcased Russell’s talent
well.
Russell looks a little bit like a rogue member of a boyband, one that
defected to pursue slightly more meaningful things in life, or maybe
a butterfly… With the attention span of a marmoset, the wry and
often silly observational humour was fast paced and eclectic.
Russell is one of the few comedians to ever be apologetic about his
tendency to swear despite his mouth being cleaner than most. He is also
possibly the only person to attempt to answer one of the most pressing
questions in life - what would actually happen if someone said boo to
a goose.
Like a sugar rush personified an hour with Russell Howard just does
not seem enough - this man is addictive!

This
year’s Edinburgh
and Beyond comedy tour is hosted by the effervescent scallywag Russell
Howard who, along with Chris Addison, really makes the show a laugh
riot. His enthusiasm as a host is infectious, providing the sticky jam
that binds the other acts. All in all, Russell is much like the snacks
he adores, outwardly sweet, surprisingly tart and full of fluffy goodness.
