Bless them, Kevin and Kevin of Ham Yard Tourists have all the ingredients to be a very funny double act – they’ve got charisma and stage presence in abundance, like a pantomime Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee except with more swearing.

Trouble is they haven’t got any material. The premise of their show – that the funny member of their troupe has buggered off and left them without any sketches - has potential, and the first fifteen minutes glimmers with little gems like the performance poetry.

Then it becomes painfully apparent that they really are buggered for sketches: the playing about with the speed on the record player could well be an allegory for the scraping of a barrel. Better script, better structure and better direction should make these lads worth watching.
