It’s almost as hard to get away from religion these days as it is to avoid advertising, and in these times of heightened tension, it’s a tricky subject to tackle without getting yourself into trouble.

Only an extremist (or perhaps ‘God’ the technician) could take offence as this pair take you on a rapid rough guide journey from Anglicanism to Zoroastrianism. Admittedly, we’re led to believe they’re not so rare at present, but you’d have to be some heady zealot to be annoyed by this show with a gentle poke in the eye at every faith sector.

Toby and Sarah are your spiritual tour guides and they approach the subject with a sugary curiosity. Like an informational chit-chat with your favourite siblings, this well researched presentation gives you a lightweight low-down on everything religious.

It’s more bafflement than belligerence at belief structures as they read passages from scriptures and offer examples of ritualistic behaviour. There are plenty of easy targets but with their detailed research there are heaps of amusing surprises to be revealed in their express course on belief.

The audience is actively encouraged to participate with a short commandment creation workshop and there’s even the enticing prospect of a Satanist Baptism.

You’ll learn something new, remember something ridiculous and be amazed by others incredulity. It’s a general starter course on the implausible factors of humanity. This show should be considered for the national curriculum.
