OIL WITHOUT THE TERROR
First ‘Terror-free’ petrol
station opens in the USA
We are led to believe that terrorism is everywhere, but for one American
city it is no longer at their local petrol station.
The first ‘terror-free’ station has opened in Omaha and
is owned and run by The Terror-Free Oil Initiative (TFO). The TFO say
that none of their fuel comes from countries which it believes is supporting
or funding terrorism, currently only using oil from the US and Canada.
It rejects oil from the Middle East and other areas of the globe.
The TFO are keen to make their point to the big oil companies and their
outlet is definitely all about the message. It is emblazoned with large
Terror-Free signs and the pumps display a diagram of how the owners
believe unscreened fuel funds the enemies of the US.
To make sure customers don’t forget what the TFO is about their
logo combines the twin towers, the Pentagon and the United 93 designation
of the fourth 9/11 plane.
In a statement, the group’s spokesman Joe Kaufman, said, “We
cannot help but feel held hostage to the whims of those that, if they
weren’t accepting our money, would instead accept our demise.”
“Because of this, and other reasons as well, our quest is to get
away from Middle Eastern oil altogether.”
Because a local rival has reportedly dropped their prices the new TFO
outlet’s opening trade is said to have been small.
