Baldy beaten by family

A man was beaten by his fiancée and in-laws in India for being bald and wearing a wig.

His wife-to-be yanked off Prabir Dus’ expensive wig after dinner, and began beating him for hiding his baldness, he told police.

According to the 33-year-old, her parents then joined in and also took his wallet, mobile phone, motorbike and driving licence as a ‘penalty’ for his deception.

Superintendent Rajen Singh said the bride’s father, Dilip Roy, denied the claims. Police state the wedding appears to be off.
